85, of Pawtucket, died Wednesday at home surrounded by her loving family.

Maria was the beautiful wife of Eugenio Miranda, happily married for 63 years. Born in Ajuda da Bretanha, S. Miguel, Azores, she was the daughter of the late Francisco deCosta Carvalho and Maria dosAnjos (Rego) Carvalho. Maria was the sister of the late John Carlos Carvalho, Frank Carvalho and Noemia Carvalho.

Maria worked for many years at Hasbro Company, and was a very proud home maker, mother and wife.

Maria is survived by her sister Celestina Pimentel of Pawtucket, her son Antonio Miranda of Connecticut, and her three her daughters; Rosa Miranda of Pawtucket, Aldina Rodrigues of Cranston, and Delia Pereira of Pawtucket. Maria leaves her cherished grandchildren Carl Hammerle of Smithfield, David Hammerle of Johnston, Antonio Miranda Jr. of Cranston, Miranda Hannah of California, Janika Arel of Cranston, Nicole Miranda of Pawtucket, Michael Hammerle of Johnston, and Priscilla Perry of Providence. Maria is survived by 12 loving and adoring great grandchildren and 2 cherished great great grandchildren.

Maria is survived by many loving nephews and nieces.

Maria was a devoted member of Saint Anthony's Parish in Pawtucket.

Her funeral will be Wednesday, May 30th at 8:30am from Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave., Lincoln, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in St. Anthony Church, Lawn Ave., Pawtucket. Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Providence. Calling hours will be Tuesday from 5 - 8pm. Relatives and friends are invited.
